At Stayton Elementary we believe in providing an environment where student achievement is the priority. We are certain that this can be achieved by providing a safe learning environment for our students, having a clear vision, using researched based best practices and creating a culture where teachers desire to grow professionally.

We have positive behavior supports in place and our routines and expectations are clear. Our desire is for students to feel safe so that learning can occur. We value the relationships we have built with students, parents and the community, and believe it will foster a cohesive relationship in which the success of each student is the priority.

With a clear vision, our goals are focused on student achievement. Teachers work collaboratively in Professional Learning Communities, ensuring everyone is working toward these common goals. Teachers are looking at Common Core State Standards, writing common assessments, analyzing results and planning instruction based on those results. Our teachers continually look for ways to differentiate their instruction based on the needs of each student.

Our staff is committed, we want students to love to come to school and feel valued. We strive to make our parents feel welcome and to know that Stayton Elementary is all about doing what’s best for our kids.
